David Grandison Jr. earned a Master’s Degree in Design and Media from Columbia University (TC). He is a member of the Producer Guild of America (p.g.a.) and he has led multiple award-winning video and animation studios. developed multimillion-dollar websites, and created hundreds of marketing campaigns, and courses for major brands like; Billboard Magazine, Complex Magazine, Rolling Stone, Teen Vogue, GILT Groupe, NBA, NFL, BMW, Samsung, Sundance Channel, and Condé Nast. His content strategy, SEO and website design for Scholastic earned him a Webby Award.
David specializes in video/VR production and multimedia worldbuilding across platforms. This work encompasses both linear and non-linear narratives, apps, games, AR / VR projects, music projects and 360-degree videos utilizing spatial audio. His films and animated shorts have premiered in, and won numerous awards at festivals around the world like Cannes Film Festival, BAMcinématek, and the ASIFA East Animation Festival. His most recent credit as a Producer is on a film called God Said Give Em’ Drum Machines which premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival. He is also a writer and he wrote the forward for the book God Said Give em’ Drum Machines and his writing can be found on his website the Music Origins Project.
His mission is to democratize video storytelling and social advertising using smartphones and mobile-friendly VR as well as mentoring and teaching up-and-coming digital storytellers with content he creates with Making A Brand.
